GRUH Finance– a subsidiary of HDFC Ltd. is a Housing Finance Company (HFC) recognized by National Housing Bank. GRUH Finance established in 1988 and is head quartered at Ahmedabad in western India. It has network of 120 offices across seven states of India. It is expanding its network base with approximately 500 employees located at various offices across Gujarat, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Tamil Nadu.
GRUH Finance corporate HR used to obtain attendance details of each employee from all branches. Every month it was a herculean task for HR in making note of late marks of the employees. At times HR also observed that attendance data were counterfeited but still company had to pay for it.
GRUH Finance wanted to streamline Time-Attendance policies for their employees across all branches. Centralized database management for Time-Attendance using biometric system was the major requirement of the company when they approached Matrix. Additionally, they wanted a system which can automatically distribute fingerprint image to all their 120 offices in India. It also wanted that employees can apply for leave/tour from anywhere and on receipt of any such application authorizing person should get email notification. In addition, company also wanted to manage the attendance of those field staff who mark their “in” punch at one location and “out” punch from some other location.

Matrix offeredbenterprise range of Time-Attendance solution to GRUH Finance at their corporate head office in Ahmedabad.The central server is installed at head office and can be utilized as a system to automatically distribute fingerprint images to all the locations.Time-Attendance software is installed to use enhanced Time-Attendance and leave management features.
Biometric fingerprint based Access Control and Time-Attendance device is installed at head office and biometric fingerprint based Time-Attendance terminals are installed at each branch to mark attendance of employees.Attendance of each employee can be marked accurately from any location as all the terminals are interconnected with each other and with central server through VPN network. Matrix has also offered web-based employee self-service portal for employees to login into the system and apply for tour/leave from any place, view attendance& holiday schedule, etc.
